FictionToAction is a free online community that finds the lessons and strategies hidden in the stories we love — and connects them to real-world action.

Traditional organizing asks you to knock on strangers’ doors. We take a different approach. We use ‘relational organizing’ — a grassroots strategy that leverages the networks you already have: friends, family, colleagues, and neighbors — to drive meaningful social and political change in your local community.

Stories are how humans make sense of the world and connect with each other. Through our community frameworks, worksheets, and discussion guides, you can turn any story into an organizing conversation — and start building the local networks your community needs for long-term resilience.
